Crepe`s and Swimming

Today we took Nana and Papa to my favourite hole in the wall in all of England "Creme de La Crepe`" in Covent Gardens. This place is literally a hole in the wall and they have the yummiest crepe`s EVER.

Both kids love the "Piggy that went to market" crepe`as well as the sweet strawberry and nutella. I could eat here every day and it wouldn't be enough.

The place was packed as it was high tourist season, so we had to wait a bit to get a seat and even then we had to eat split apart.

One of the things that we love about Covent Gardens are the street performers who are always really great. Papa gave Ads some money for the golden man.

Papa carried Ads and I carried Will to Harrod's for some nosing around the confectionary.

The Blue One was a wild animal in Harrod's, but we were able to get some sweeties, a picture, and then get out. Nana and Papa bought me a lovely box of truffles.....my favourite.

We hustled home so that the Pink One could make it to her swimming lesson on time. This girl of mine has a really great little build, she is lean and strong, and is doing a great job in swimming.

Nana was excited to get some pictures of Ads at swimming and was snapping away when a lady turned to us and told us that we couldn't take pictures. What? Why not I asked. The lady told us that we could get someone else's child in the picture and so that we couldn't take pictures. I wanted to slap her. Okay maybe not slap her, but I was ticked off.

I think the highlight of the trip for Papa and myself was going to Costco. I know, who goes to England to go to Costco? Papa does. We were so excited to have a fountain soda, my first in nearly a year. Ads went through the store recognising labels from UT saying "everything here is American!" We laughed. There is something strangely comfortable about Costco for me, it seems to bridge the gap between my past life and my present life. Moving to the UK isn't like moving to another state where they still have Wal-Mart and Target and Old Navy and brands that you are familiar with, the UK is a whole different kettle of fish. So going to Costco was like bringing a bit of home and familiarity to me. Which I needed.

Costco hot dog? Yes please. Nana and Papa bought us some groceries and necessities at Costco whilst they were here for our Christmas, it was AWESOME. Papa is like a kid in a candy store at Costco.
