We took Nana and Papa to the Channel to enjoy the beachy scenery and for Ads to splish splash around. The girl got soaked, but fear not, I have a bag in the trunk for each of the kids filled with back up clothes and supplies.
Nana and Papa (who is from California) could not believe that there were children at the beach in the water......notice Papa in his sweater and Nana in her turtle neck. But here in the UK we adapt to the cold and even manage to swim in it.
The Blue One doesn't fancy the cold quite like his sister does.
Isn't Nana gorgeous? This is the woman my beautiful daughter looks like. I wish I could claim her as my own, but Ads is all Nana.
We changed Ads into warm clothes and hopped over to my favourite Medieval Castle.....Bodiam. Even the name of the Castle is great.
Bodiam is the only Castle in the UK that has its original portcullis. Pretty cool.
The kids love to climb and chase around on the inner ruins of the Castle.
The Stocks.
Our day quickly went from looking like this.....
To this!
And we ended up looking like this :(
Welcome to the UK where the weather can turn in the blink of an eye. Being that the Castle is in ruins there was no where to run and the thunder and lightening was fierce. Ads even began to cry because she was so scared. We made it tot he car soaked, cold, and a bit miserable, but the experience was epic.
