John's 34th Birthday

Someone is getting old. I can't believe that this man is now double the years he was when we met. We have now known each other for more years than we haven't, which is pretty superb. For John's Birthday he wanted to go to speakers corner in Hyde Park. Speakers corner has been a place where people can come to speak out in public on many topics since the 1800's and as John is captivated by great men he wanted to stand on the spot where many great men spoke, discussed and taught. So off we went. The best part of this day for Ads was finding a worm on the ground that she picked up and played with. So it wasn't perhaps the most exciting day for the rest of us, but guess what? it wasn't our day, it was John's.

As tradition holds John woke up to a bed covered in balloons.

For lunch we went to our favourite little place in Covent Gardens called "Creme' de la Crepe." We all ordered a sweet and a savoury crepe and ate to our little hearts content.

John explaining to the kids why he loves speakers corner and why it was important for him to go check it out.

For anyone who knows John they will agree with me in saying that he is a cut above the rest. John is a kind, fun, and humble man who endures a loud, crazy, and sometimes impulsive spouse and a couple of demanding kids. In our family we are grateful for John's nurturing, teaching, hard work, intellect, dedication and commitment to his family, his selflessness and his wisdom. I never knew when I met this gawky 17 year old boy that he would be such a great man. I really did get the better end of this deal. Happy Birthday Hubs.
