My friend Leisha and I decided to head to Scotney Castle for a play date before the kiddo's go back to school. The old Scotney Castle was built in Circa 1378. A new "Castle" sits above the old and was built in 1558.
When we arrived we picnicked, then toured through the new Castle, and then headed through the picturesque landscape snapping photos while the kids ran around. Despite a stomach bug that the Pink One was battling the kids had a great time. Our trip ended a wee bit shorter than we had hoped when the flu bug beat the Pink One and an emergency trip to the toilet was met a little late.

Will received a lot of attention today from the people meandering around. People always comment on his hair, but if that wasn't enough, his football jersey must have screamed talk to me :)

We have now seen Scotney Castle in the Winter HERE from a far and in the Summer up close. It is beautiful and we definitely enjoyed it more in the Summer than we had in the Winter.
