Family Outing

For our weekend outing we decided to head into London and Visit St. Paul's Cathedral. When we got there we could clearly see that it was tourist season and the crowds were massive. With two little kids in tow no one wants to wait for hours to walk through a very quiet and Holy place, so we snapped a few pictures outside and then headed to lunch at my favourite place in London.

On our way to Covent Gardens we saw this artistic display. I love random art.

Hubby and I were tickled by the name of this Pub "Ye Old Cheshire Cheese" *snicker* but as we got closer we noticed that his pub was frequented by Samuel Johnson, Charles Dickens, and countless others. Of course, only really cool people would go to Ye Old Cheshire Cheese, right?!

This is for all of you "Sweeny Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street" fans :)

The flowers in England are breathtakingly beautiful right now.

Th Pink One LOVED the Dragon.

Royal Courts of Justice.

I love seeing all of the gorgeous old pubs dotted all across the English landscape. I am not a drinker, but there is something charming about the looks of the pubs here.

Aaaah, my favourite place to grub. This is a little and literal hole in the wall Crepe' shop. They have beautiful sweet and savoury crepe's and each time I go I get one of each. YUM!

I am always looking for someone to go and munch a lovely little crepe with.....incentive to visit.

After lunch we went to the British Museum. The Pink One is obsessed with mummies (thanks Scooby Doo) and the Hubby wanted to see the Rosetta Stone, so the British Museum was the place for us. Hubby, bless him, was super stressed about the Blue One racing around the ancient artifacts *snicker* I had to remind the Hubby after we were on the train that we were in fact the only people dumb enough to take a 2 year old to the British Museum :) If you want a 2 year old to behave, then you need to take them to 2 year old friendly activities......not the British Museum.

The Pink One in her height of mummy glory.

The Pink One was excited that there were even mummified cats, I told her not to get any big ideas.

London is a magical city and I am glad that I am a short train ride into the city, but also a short train ride out of the city. Maren and Jake get here soon so it is time to wrap things up and get busy tidying.

Man there's just so much to do.
Obviously the blue one behaved then?
I think it's awesome the pink one wasn't scared and totally loved the mummies.
